About

Worship

St. Cyprian Believers Eastern Church is located just outside of the business district of Stoney Creek on King Street East.  We seek to glorify the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit by following in the footsteps of the ancient orthodox faith and practice.  We do this through meeting regularly to celebrate the Divine Liturgy.  Our Divine Liturgy is based upon the liturgy of St. James from the first century.  If you have never participated in a liturgical service, we would encourage you to read Eucharist and The Worship of the Church.

Community

Desiring to grow together in love and unity, we meet weekly for prayer on Tuesday evenings.  We also spend a lot of time together at each others homes.  Our desire is to foster a sense of community that is real and tangible.  We want to have an atmosphere where we can exhort, encourage, and correct one another as needed.

Mission

We seek to participate in the great commission of the Lord Jesus through both word and deed.  To do this, we go out into our neighbourhood seeking how we can pray for our neighbours.  We also have several events at our parish over the course of the year where we can be Christ’s hands and feet to our neighbours.  In a practical way, we have a food bank drive at each of our events so that we as a community can care for our poor.  As a parish, during the season of Lent, we collect for the food bank for the entire season.  Then we give it to the food bank during Easter Week.
